Technical Specifications of Bleached Chemi-thermomechanical Pulp (bctmp) Price Trends

Product Description

Bleached Chemi-Thermomechanical Pulp (BCTMP) is a high-yield pulping grade produced primarily from softwood or hardwood species using a combined chemical and thermomechanical refining process. Wood chips are pre-treated with mild alkaline chemicals prior to high-temperature refining, improving fibre flexibility, light-scattering ability, and brightness at a significantly higher yield compared to chemical kraft pulps.

BCTMP is characterized by excellent bulk, opacity, stiffness, and brightness stability, making it an ideal fibre for printing & writing grades, paperboard, tissue, and packaging applications. Compared with kraft pulps, it delivers superior optical properties and low cost per tonne due to its high yield (typically 85–90%).
