The global Bisphenol A (BPA) market exhibited a predominantly bearish trend through June and into early July 2026, driven by weakening downstream epoxy resin demand and ample regional supply availability.
FOB Busan, South Korea, initially recorded strong gains during early June on firmer phenol and acetone feedstock costs.
However, the market reversed sharply by early July as epoxy resin manufacturers reduced procurement amid sluggish coatings and construction sector activity.
Bisphenol A Market Weakens in Taiwan and Thailand
Taiwan and Thailand markets remained under sustained pressure throughout the period, with FOB Kaohsiung and FOB Laem Chabang posting consecutive weekly declines. Competitive export offers, comfortable inventories, and subdued buying interest from epoxy resin producers contributed to the persistent weakness.

Bisphenol A Market Stabilizes in India
In India, BPA prices stabilized after several weeks of decline. Improved domestic buying sentiment and balanced inventory positions helped Ex-India prices hold steady during the first week of July, despite continued softness in international markets.

Bisphenol A Market Outlook
Looking ahead, the BPA market is expected to remain closely linked to downstream epoxy resin demand, feedstock movements, and export competition across Asia.
While stable phenol and acetone costs may provide some support, sustained price recovery will depend on stronger consumption from coatings, construction, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
For now, balanced supply conditions and cautious procurement are expected to keep the global BPA market under mild pressure, with demand remaining the key determinant of price direction through the coming weeks.
